Human Apocalypse is a 2D tower defense game where the player plays as protector of the zombies to prevent the attack by the human. It features interactive gameplay combined with card game elements.

Notable Achievements:

  • Chosen by NYP as an Indie Game exhibitor for 2013 Casual Connect Asia (Singapore)

Game Designer / Producer

 

  • Maintained project schedule and organized team meetings to regulate team member’s expectations.

  • Designed 3 level layouts on paper and had several play test sessions in making sure new players pick up the mechanics easily through the levels.

  • Designed and balanced several enemy mechanics thanks to player’s feedback.

  • Designed map layouts and craft special events based on each level.

Design Choices

  • Compared to other traditional tower defense game, heavy emphasis is placed on the interactivity of the enemies, cards and the tower.

  • Designed enemies and boss to require players to be interacting with them on the map, so as to increase tension during the low intensity waves in game.

 

Game Artist

  • Designed enemies animation sprites and tower sprites using Photoshop. 

  • Painted the map background using Photoshop.
